Dr. Sunit Mukherjee grew up in the Merrimack Valley attending North Andover High School in the 1980s. He then went on to pursue his undergraduate studies and medical school education at Boston University. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Mukherjee completed his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He returned to New England in 1992 when he entered Boston Medical Center for his cardiology fellowship training. While at Boston Medical Center, Dr. Mukherjee completed an additional year of training in Interventional Cardiology where he specialized in cardiac catheterization and stent procedures.
Since beginning cardiology practice in the Merrimack Valley in June 1996, Dr. Mukherjee has performed several thousand cardiac procedures in patients with coronary artery disease. In addition, he manages patients with a vast array of cardiovascular issues including but not limited to HYPERTENSION, CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, LIPID DISORDERS, CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS and VALVULAR HEART DISEASE.
He is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and currently on staff at a number of institutions including Lawrence General Hospital, Caritas Holy Family Hospital, Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Dr. Mukherjee is always available to answer any questions that patients may have. He currently resides in North Andover and he takes great pleasure in making people laugh.
